Developing storm above Emma Lake in Saskatchewan, Canada.

This is a deeply person piece for me. For starters, there was alot going on in my life at the time I took this, and this was a place I flocked to for respite. Unfortunately, I'll probably not have the money-or time- to ever visit again. Secondly, I'm not a 'middle of land' kind of person- I much prefer the open ocean. But I've been to this lake twice in my life, and I'm just as much in love with it now as I was the first day I was out on it. It's a very peaceful place. I dream of it often.

This storm later contributed to PINK lighting. 0-o Which I've never seen in my life. All the lighting I've seen where I live is light purple or white. As the saying goes in the Land of 1000 Skies, if you don't like the weather, wait 15 minutes. This picture demonstrates that truth. This systym developed so fast I barely had time to get it on camera.

This lake is best early in the morning, after it's just rained. You can hear the loons calling out just as the blue-grey of super early dawn creeps in. Aside from the sound of the ocean, theres no better lullaby to sing you to sleep then the call of loons on a lake in the misty morning.

I'll miss this place.

This collage and the pictures are copyrighted to me. Please ask if you want to use it for anything. Thank you!

EDIT** anyone who would want a copy of this without the texture can send me a note.

Beautiful set of photos! I can't remember ever seeing pink lightening. I did see white ball lightening bouncing off a stormy sea once, as if it were plasma. That was fascinating but I wouldn't like to be close too it should I ever encounter it again. It was one of those awesome natural phenonema using 'awe' in its true grammatical sense - very powerful and alive and moving like liquid light.
This is really, really beautiful.

I am generally a nice person.

However, there is such thing as a stupid question, and it will be promptly answered in a demeaning fashion.
Thank you! ^^
